Do you ever feel like you’re juggling a million tasks and appointments? In this digital world, staying organized is easier than ever thanks to amazing tools like Google Calendar. Here’s why Google Calendar has become my family’s life force.
Syncs Like a Dream: Access your schedule from anywhere, anytime – phone, computer, tablet – for the ultimate organization on the go! The more convenient it is, the more likely I will use it.
Ability to share it with family or a friend. My husband can access all the events and appointments with minimal effort.
Note: I transformed a TV into a digital wall calendar! This allows me to update my family in real-time. Let me know if you’re interested in learning more about this process.
Ability to add events (and delete them) easily. It’s easy to add an event and just as easy to delete it if it’s no longer needed.
Ability to easily edit events. Having the ability to change the time or date of an event without using whiteout.
Ability to “repeat” events weekly, monthly, and annually. It’s only necessary to add birthdays one time! Recurring bill due dates are easy to track with this feature.
Ability to use the task feature (bills, to-do list). This is probably my favorite feature. I’m a big fan of checklists. This helps keep me organized and schedule tasks in advance.
Ability to have multiple calendars (birthdays, work, school, football game schedule). It’s easy to keep work and personal life separate with Google Calendar.
Ability to use Google Keep. If you haven’t tried the life-changing add-on that is Google Keep, you definitely should! The integration is so fantastic and beautifully done!
Ability to color code. I love that you can customize the color of each calendar and event.
Ability to set reminders. It makes it so much easier to stay organized when your planner is basically yelling at you to remember something. Note: Click on the “add notification” section when you create an event to access those options.
Ability to add details. I can copy and paste the address or notes that I need to remember for that particular appointment or event.
For this particular event, I copied the email and placed it in the notes section. We signed up for this camp in March and I had a feeling I would forget all the details by the time the end of June graced us with its presence.
Ability to change the view. Daily, weekly, and monthly, all accessible at the click of a button.
It’s free!
